Nordic-Baltic Bee Council and Nordic-Baltic Apicultural Research Symposium 21st–22nd of March 2024

The Lithuanian Beekeepers Association invites scientists, advisors, board members and other colleagues from the beekeeping sector to take part in the Nordic-Baltic Bee Council (NBBC) and Nordic-Baltic Apicultural Research Symposium (NBARS) 2024 in Vilnius, Lithuania.

The meetings will take place from Thursday the 21st of March at 10:00 to Friday the 22nd of March at 16:00. Advisors will as usually have the chance to meet on Wednesday the 20th of March.

APICULTURAL RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM (Thursday and Friday)

We will have a program with presentations (from 15 to 20 minutes per presentation) covering a wide range of topics over research and beekeeping from many points of views. NORDIC-BALTIC BEE COUNCIL MEETING (Friday)

This meeting will be the political and organisational part of the program which specially addresses board members of the national beekeeping associations. The meeting will take place on Friday from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. Please send your input for the agenda latest by the 1st of March to j.galvoniene@gmail.com

CULTURAL EVENT AND DINNER (Thursday)

On Thursday evening we would like to invite you to visit Vilnius old town that is famous for beautiful Baroque architecture and centuries-old history. After the excursion we will have dinner at a restaurant with mead degustation.

MICRO APIEXPO (Thursday and Friday)

We will not only hear about your projects. We will also see them and feel them. We invite each country to bring a micro exhibition showing what is going on in your country. Each country will have a table available. Please bring your posters, brochures, books and maybe even products.

ADVISOR MEETING (Wednesday)

This will be the special meeting for the advisors of the national beekeeping associations and other beekeeping advisory services. In this meeting we will discuss on different topics and activities and will learn more about beekeeping. The meeting will take place at the Trakai beekeepers’ house. On the way to it we will visit Trakai castle that stands on an island on lake Galvė. Participants will be picked up from the hotel at 1.00 p. m. and we will be back at the hotel after dinner.

The NBBC and NBARS meetings included accommodation will take place at Corner Hotel, T. Sevcenkos str. 16, Vilnius, Lithuania.

Without accommodation 170 €

Advisors meeting participant add 80 €.

The prices include meeting program, coffee breaks, lunch and dinner on Thursday as well as breakfast if you have accommodation. Participants in the advisor meeting will have to add expenses related to this meeting 80 €.
